ABOUT

The Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education (CAJE) of Miami is building Kavanah Coaching a Jewish Education and Life Coaching model for youth professionals to mentor teens that will:

  • Provide professionals training on how to partner with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.

  •  Recasts Jewish wisdom in terms teens can understand, that is pluralistic and sensitive to all levels of practice (ex: taking a digital pause vs. observing Shabbat) and that addresses issues vital to teen life (ex: safety in an era of school shootings, bullying, relationship ethics, fear of failure, overcoming stress through mindfulness, etc.) by utilizing Jewish texts and values.

  • Teach youth workers how to infuse Jewish knowledge and values into their conversations and programming to help Jewish teens thrive.

Professionals are required to participate in all in-person or video gatherings for their cohort in order to receive certification. To receive your certification with Kavanah Coaching and then accreditation with the International Coaching Federation, of the 60 hours required for training, at least 48 of the hours must be student contact hours – clock hours spent in synchronous (real-time) interactions between faculty and students.
