Jewish Teens Thrive
Jewish Teens Thrive
Jewish Teens Thrive is an initiative of the Jewish Teen Education & Engagement Funder Collaborative an innovative philanthropic experiment whereby national and local funders work together to develop, nurture and scale new approaches to teen engagement. The teen initiatives are informed by up-to-the-minute research and data, and draw on the collective strength of local organizations. The professional teams driving each initiative has embarked on responsive approaches informed by rich, ongoing conversation with community stakeholders, local organizations, collaborative colleagues and teens themselves.
Through this work on the ground, it has become increasingly apparent that supporting a teens’ wellbeing - and fostering parents’ and educators’ understanding of teens today - is foundational to achieving our educational and engagement goals.
In support of these goals, we have partnered with The Jewish Education Project to create a Facilitators’ Guide and manual for any community considering bringing Youth Mental Health First Aid to their communities and seeking to offer a Jewish communally relevant training that properly addresses the unique role in which youth professionals frequently serve.
