ABOUT

Etgar 36 is a summer journey across the United States for teens in which you explore America and become empowered to get involved politically and socially to change the world.

We meet with organizations, activists, educators, witnesses, and participants in history in order to examine, discuss, debate, and understand the various political issues that impact us.

In addition to seeing the sights that make each city unique, we see concerts (Bruce Springsteen & Dave Matthews), plays (“Hamilton”, “Come From Away”) and shows (“Blueman Group”, blues bands on Beale Street in Memphis, poetry slams) as well as baseballs games and amusement parks.

We meet with people and organizations to discuss and debate all sides of the following issues:

  • Abortion

  • Gun control

  • Immigration

  • Gay marriage

  • Environment

  • Labor issues

  • Homelessness

  • Legalization of Marijuana

  • Foreign policy

  • Illiteracy, and more!
